Phoenix, Arizona Style

There are certain elements of architecture in Phoenix (Arizona) that makes me want to don a dinner jacket. grab a snifter of brandy, and tune in Sammy Davis Jr. on my Philco black and white TV. This is one of them. Its classic 1960′s style evokes visions of beehive hairdos, whale-fin Cadillacs, and Joey Bishop reruns. It is that cool.

I captured this photo of a downtown Phoenix, Arizona apartment building on a typical sunny day about three years ago. Like much of the residential architecture in downtown Phoenix, it was built in the late 60′s to early 70′s, and reflects the fads of that era. Camera: Olympus E-300, kit lens.
