Old New Mexico Truck

Is there anything more charming? This quaint and quiet old New Mexico truck is perhaps my most iconic photographic memory of New Mexico. Nestled in a dilapidated barn in the Jemez Mountains, it encapsulates the quiet, rural spirit of small New Mexico towns and pueblos. The soft red clay soil of Jemez red rock adds a beautiful color and patina to this setting. I discovered this setting on a side street along the Jemez Mountain Trail, a quietly beautiful scenic mountain drive that connects the cities of Albuquerque (Rio Rancho) and Santa Fe. The history and culture of New Mexico is preserved in these old treasures that are a charming part of the New Mexico landscape.
