Quiet New Mexico Landscape

A Quiet New Mexico Landscape, Bernalillo, New Mexico (located just outside of Albuquerque).

Oh, there may not be much going on here. But I must say: Being in a late afternoon setting like this, enjoying that warm New Mexico sun can be rather special. This photo shows a setting adjacent to the Coronado State Monument in Bernalillo, New Mexico on a late fall afternoon. This humble land has a rich history. The Spanish Explorer Francisco Vasquez de Coronado is thought to have camped near this site with his soldiers in 1540 while searcxhing for the fabled Cities of God.  The Native American pueblo of Kuaua was located here, occupied from 1300 AD, and abandoned near the end of the 16th Century.
